Casual-dining operator and parent company of the Outback Steakhouse chain Bloomin' Brands Inc., and CKE Restaurants Inc. had scheduled to launch their IPOs in August. However, Bloomin' Brands sharply scaled back its IPO by more than 40% within a short span of time post-announcement, while CKE eventually has postponed the offering citing unfavorable market conditions.

While North America saw the majority of debt offering deals amounting up to US$1,450 million, Asia-Pacific saw companies raising capital through equity offerings that amounted to US$1,610.7 million.

The increased deal value was primarily driven by the US$615.3 million agreement to acquire ISS A/S, a Danish facility services provider, including catering services to different industrial markets, by Teachers' Private Capital (TPC) and KIRKBI A/S.
