Renting of Agricultural, Construction and Other Machinery in Australia: ISIC 712 - a new market research report on 2014-04-02 06:09:02
The Australian market for rental services of agricultural, construction and other machinery experienced a mixed performance during 2000-2010, with growth averaging 4%. The market environment was rather volatile during the review period and the industry was very sensitive to the general economic situation.

The development of the market resembled the business cycle of the Australian economy in the past 10 years. High growth rates were observed in the boom period, with these reaching up to 11% per year in 2008. However, these were followed by contractions in the following downturn, with year-on-year decline of as much as 7%. The market´s development was also impacted by taxation policies of rental services; the customer is allowed to claim 100% of rental payments as a tax deduction, which created momentum for the industry.

Overall there are indications that the market is recovering but it still performed poorly in 2010, shrinking by 4%.
