2014-04-02 06:40:02 - Investigation and Security Services in Australia: ISIC 7492 - a new market research report on companiesandmarkets.com
Throughout 2000-2010 the Australian market for investigation and security services increased at an average annual rate of 5%. This followed an international trend of substantial growth in demand for security services over the last three decades of the 20th century, with the rise of the global terrorist threat. By the end of 2010 the market reached a value of A$4.1 billion.
The services provided were focused on demand among business-to-business consumers, as commercial buyers accounted for 95% of total sales by the end of the review period. Moreover, the popularity of private orders was declining as households´ share of total sales shrank from 2% in 2000 to 1% in 2010.
The remaining 4% of total demand was attributable to government purchases. Such
sales were highly influenced by regulatory issues from the government.
