JVC Kenwood Corp, recently renamed from JVC Kenwood Holdings in 2011, maintained second position in in-car entertainment in 2012 due to its position as the leading player in in-car media thanks to the strength of the JVC and Kenwood brand names.
Demand for aftermarket in-car entertainment remained weak in the US towards the end of the review period as the slow pace of recovery of the US economy and the collapse in demand for aftermarket in-car navigation resulted in overall negative growth being recorded in in-car entertainment during both 2012 and 2013.
