Electricity transmission market in the United Kingdom to grow 6.2% CAGR between 2014-19
Electricity Transmission in the UK - Industry Market Research Report - a new market research report on 2014-04-21 07:26:01
The Electricity Transmission industry is anticipated to earn revenue of £3.8 billion in 2013-14, an increase of 4.3% on the previous year. The industry is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 1.6% over the five years through 2013-14, thanks to mounting transmission costs and rising charges being levied on grid users. The increase will occur despite a fall in the volume of electricity transmitted over the period.

The financial crisis reduced demand for electricity, especially from industrial users, and generally higher electricity prices encouraged users to use less. International trade in electricity is not part of the industry because it is classified as part of the Electricity Production industry even though the UK electricity transmission grid carries this electricity.
