2014-01-24 23:31:01 - Forestry & Logging in the UK - Industry Market Research Report - a new market research report on

Forestry activities, such as tree planting and replanting, are the biggest service segment in the industry and have increased slowly for about a decade. This has been due to increasing demand from governments, local authorities and woodland owners, as government bodies have tended to outsource more services over the period, and as replanting or restocking levels have risen.

IBISWorld estimates that industry revenue will decrease at a compound annual rate of 1.2% over the five years through 2013-14 to £907.2 million, as demand for the industry´s services fell for the first two years of the period. Revenue has since improved and is forecast to increase by 1.6% in 2013-14. Improved revenue figures are largely a result of the government putting a

renewed emphasis on replantings and new plantings to increase woodland coverage in the United Kingdom.
