JAEC should soon select the builder of the country´s first nuclear power plant (1,000 MW) in order to start construction in 2013. Jordan aims to build at least one reactor by 2019. A LNG import terminal is under consideration.

The production of refined oil products increased by 4.5% and exceeded pre-crisis level. Driven by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait consumption of refined oil products increased by 4.2%, while crude oil exports decreased by 0.5%.
