Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones SA (Entel) is a Chile-based company engaged in the telecommunications sector. It operates into three business areas: Mobile Network Telecommunications Business, which handles the operation and development of the network, and dealership rules for the provision of such mobile telecommunications services as voice, value added service data, broad band and mobile Internet. Landline network and related services, which provides landline services, Internet access, long distance pubic telephone, information technology integrated services for data center, business processes outsourcing (BPO) and network leasing and wholesale trade, and International Operations and other businesses, which is active in the provision of related corporate services, long distance operations and traffic engineering in Peru, as well as call center services. In August 2013, it acquired Nextel del Peru SA from NII Holdings Inc. All relevant indicators – employment, salary increases, productivity and consumption, among others – have improved, helping to build a very positive economic environment in the country.
