2014-01-22 09:15:01 - Non-Hazardous Waste Collection in the UK - Industry Market Research Report - a new market research report on

The Non-Hazardous Waste Collection industry is being swept along by a shift to recycling and recovering waste. The race to divert waste from landfill is increasing demand for recyclable material collection services. This is underpinning growth in industry revenue, which is expected to rise at a compound annual rate of 0.5% in the five years through 2013-14.

Despite rising revenue, the total volume of waste collected has actually fallen over the same period. Waste minimisation strategies are reducing both total and per capita volumes of household waste. In the case of commercial, industrial and construction waste, however, the absence of growth in waste volumes can be attributed to stagnant levels of economic activity. In 2013-14, industry revenue is forecast to grow

by 1.6% to £5.7 billion.
