The Smart Burner™ will be available to all Home Hardware Dealer-Owners
Mississauga, Ontario (FSCwire) - Pioneering Technology Corp. (TSX-V:PTE; OTCBB:PTEFF), Pioneering, North America’s leader in cooking fire prevention technologies and products announced today that it signed a deal with Home Hardware Stores Limited for the retail sale of its recently announced new consumer version of its award winning Safe-T-element cooking fire prevention technology. The new product is called the Smart Burner. This new “smart” cooking system will be available to all Home Hardware retail outlets across Canada later this spring.
The product will be featured at Home Hardware’s Spring Market (April 6th – 8th) which brings together the collective buying power of the Dealer-Owners of close to 1,100 locations across Canada for seasonal purchasing to offer customers a variety of quality products at competitive prices. The Safe-T-element will receive special focus as an exciting new product available for stores to purchase inventory of. Dealer-Owners and Staff will learn about the many benefits of this revolutionary new product from Celebrity Chef David Rocco. David is committed to cooking enjoyment (which includes safety and experience) and will be an avid advocate of the product for Home Hardware.
“This product is a must-have for anyone with an electric stovetop that uses coil elements said celebrity chef David Rocco. “This product lets anyone give their electric stovetop a stylish European makeover. It’s easy to clean, helps cook foods evenly, it’s gentler on your pots AND it reduces the risk of cooking fires! Brilliant
Stove top cooking fires are the number one cause of household fires in North America (approximately 44% of all household fires as per the National Fire Protection Association – up from 20% in 1980). Unattended cooking on electric coiled stovetops is by far the leading cause. Pioneering’s original Safe-T-element cooking system has helped eliminate cooking fires in the over 100,000 multi-residential housing units it has been installed in to date across North America while also reducing energy consumption.
Up until now the technology has had to be professionally hardwired into the stove. This new “easy to install” consumer version of the Safe-T-element’s multi-patentedTemperature Limiting Control (TLC) technology means the TLC is now built right into each of the burner elements, so that anyone can install the technology easily in less than 5 minutes.
This new Smart Burner will not only help prevent cooking fires, save energy and provide superior cooking performance, but its sleek design and finish will give any electric coiled stovetop a designer look while also making the stove easier to maintain.
Pioneering CEO Kevin Callahan said of the announcement, “Today, we are thrilled to be able to announce that this new innovation will soon be available to the general public through Home Hardware which is one of Canada’s most innovative and trusted retailers. We are asked daily by residential consumers how they can get the Safe-T-element technology. Until now, we have told them they can’t because it required a professional installation. This is a solution we have been working on for a long time
The product will be marketed to anyone with an electric coiled stovetop who wants superior design, better cooking performance and cost savings. More specifically, this new product will appeal to those consumers who want to create a safe environment for their aging parents, teenagers and/or their young families by providing protection from the dangers of cooking fires and peace of mind.
