According to the new power development plan approved in July 2011, coal will account for 48% of total electricity capacity in 2020 (16% in 2010). Several large projects are already underway, among others, the Song Hau Power Centre (5,200 MW) and the Duyen Hai Power Generation Complex (4,200 MW).
